Dr. Facundo Manes

Social neuroscience concerns how the brain mediates social cognition, interpersonal exchanges, interactions, affective / cognitive group, and issues involving social psychology and personality dimensions. Will discuss the scope and limitations of new research, by contextualizing it in modern society, customs and practices that are applied and how they affect cognitive neuroscience of everyday life.

Dr. Facundo Manes

is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and a Master in Sciences of the University of Cambridge, England. He has published numerous original research papers in national journals and in prestigious international journals in his specialty as "Brain" and "Nature Neuroscience. He has been awarded major national and international awards among which are the "Human Resources Training High Level" by the Ministry of Education's Office and "Young Researcher" award the American Neuropsychiatric Association . Among his most important contributions Dr. Manes identified frontal areas related to decision-making process in humans, the neural mechanisms of aggression, the role of the insula in cognitive and emotional processes. Adem & to! acute; s, described for the first time, emotional processing of patients with minimal impairment of consciousness and the brain areas involved in the development of symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Her current area of \u200b\u200bresearch is the neurobiology of mental processes, particularly the neural mechanisms involved in autobiographical memory and the consolidation of long-term memory in the neural basis of consciousness, the role of emotion and bark prefrontal cortex in decision making.
